The Season Six Alliance Starts to Unravel as Kaysar Becomes the Fifth All-Star to Be Voted Out of the House

[via press release from CBS]

THE SEASON SIX ALLIANCE STARTS TO UNRAVEL AS KAYSAR BECOMES THE FIFTH ALL-STAR TO BE VOTED OUT OF THE HOUSE

Julie Chen Reveals Details for this Season's Newest Twist, The "Coup d'Etat," Which Will Enable One Houseguest To Overthrow the HOH at a Moment's Notice

After being nominated for eviction by Head of Household Danielle Reyes (BB3), Kaysar Ridha (BB6) was evicted last night from the BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS house. On Tuesday, Janelle Pierzina (BB6) won the Power of Veto and took herself off the chopping block. James was left up for eviction and Danielle, much to the dismay of the BB6 alliance, nominated fellow BB6 Houseguest Kaysar to join him.

During last night's live broadcast, Kaysar Ridha, the 25-year-old graphic designer from Irvine, Calif., learned his fate, said his good-byes and left the House. After leaving BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS, Kaysar was interviewed by Julie Chen about his experience, as well as on "The Early Show" on Friday morning.

By nominating James and Kaysar, Danielle struck the first blow to the all powerful season six alliance, guaranteeing the departure of one of its key members.

During last night's live broadcast of BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS, a technical malfunction occurred with the buzz-in device during the Head of Household competition. Therefore, the initial results of the HOH competition, in which Erika was named the winner, were deemed invalid. The HOH competition was replayed last night and broadcast live for subscribers of the Big Brother online 24/7 feed and will be shown during the Sunday, August 13 broadcast. Janelle was crowned the winner of the second HOH competition and is this week's new HOH.

Host Julie Chen also informed the All-Stars of this season's newest twist, the "Coup d'Etat." For the first time in Big Brother history, a Houseguest will have the chance to win an unprecedented power that could change the way the game is played. The "Coup d'Etat" gives one person the ability to overthrow the HOH and throw out their nominations on the spot. Over the next few days, clues to a phrase that relates to the Big Brother game will be given to the All-Stars. Once they think they know what the phrase is, they will disclose their answer in the privacy of the Diary Room. The first person to answer correctly will earn the power of the "Coup d'Etat."

For more information about the aftermath of Kaysar's eviction from BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS, log on to www.CBS.com and watch him live on "Housecalls: The Big Brother Talk Show" on Friday (1:00 PM, ET/10:00 AM, PT).

BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the Houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining Houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000. While living together in a confined space won't be anything new to the Houseguests, choosing between any pre-existing relationships and building new alliances could be a challenge.

BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS is broadcast each week on Tuesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The Thursday broadcast, hosted by Julie Chen, will feature the live eviction of one of the houseguests.
