NEW YORK, July 26 -- Spike TV will telecast the first ever LIVE Ultimate Fighting Championship(R) fight card on basic cable on Saturday, August 6 at 9:00pm ET from the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas featuring many of the participants of last season's hit reality show, The Ultimate Fighter. Among the participants in Spike TV's "Ultimate Fight Night" include Stephan Bonnar (The Ultimate Fighter finalist), Kenny Florian (The Ultimate Fighter finalist), Chris Leben, Sam Hoger, Alex Karalexis, Mike Swick, Josh Koscheck and Nate Quarry. The main event features veteran Chilean-born middleweight, Ivan Salaverry (11-3-1 MMA record) versus Colorado native Nathan Marquardt (24-6-1), who is returning to competition in the U.S. after a successful stint fighting in Japan.

Season II of The Ultimate Fighter premieres on Spike TV, Monday, August 22 at 11:00pm ET/PT featuring 18 of some of the best up-and-coming mixed martial arts fighters in the world. UFC Middleweight Champion, Rich Franklin, and UFC Welterweight Champion, Matt Hughes, will be the coaches for Season II. UFC President Dana White serves as host.
