STARS ALIGN FOR CAST MEMBERS FROM NBC'S "CROSSING JORDAN" AND "LAS VEGAS" AS THEY TEAM UP FOR A SECOND CROSSOVER EVENT IN OCTOBER

Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh (Jill Hennessy), Detective Woody Hoyt (Jerry O'Connell), Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel) and Sam Jane Marquez (Vanessa Marcil) Team Up Again

BURBANK, Calif. -- July 24, 2005 -- Stars from two of NBC's most popular dramas -- "Crossing Jordan" (Sundays, 10-11 p.m. ET) and "Las Vegas" (Mondays, 9-10 p.m. ET) -- will team up again to solve a multi-city murder in a second crossover event for broadcast on consecutive Sunday and Monday dates in October.

Jill Hennessy and Jerry O'Connell from "Crossing Jordan" will join Josh Duhamel and Vanessa Marcil from "Las Vegas" in appearing in both episodes.

The multi-city crime begins on "Crossing Jordan" when a Las Vegas showgirl shows up at the Boston morgue, sets a corpse ablaze -- and then hurls herself out the window. She leaves behind one clue: an employee ID card from the Montecito Casino in Las Vegas. Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh (Hennessy) calls Danny McCoy (Duhamel), an acquaintance and Director of Montecito Surveillance and Security, to help solve the mystery. Together Jordan, Detective Woody Hoyt (O'Connell) and Danny follow clues that reveal a heist is in the works in Boston.

When Woody realizes that the strings are all being pulled by a mobster in Vegas, he's on the next plane out and the mystery continues the next night on "Las Vegas." Woody works with the Montecito Casino host Sam Jane Marquez (Marcil) in Vegas while Jordan and Danny remain on the case in Boston. As the clues are revealed, so are the mutual attractions between the crime-solving duos.

Last season's November 7-8 two-part crossover, "What Happens in Vegas...Dies in Boston," generated the highest ratings of the season for both dramas among adults 18-49. "Crossing Jordan's" 5.3 rating matched the series' highest result since May 13, 2002 and "Las Vegas'" 5.8 is the drama's second-highest rating ever.

"Crossing Jordan" features a cadre of coroners eager to offer their forensic skills in order to bring murderers to justice and offer closure to the families of their victims. Under the guidance of Dr. Garret Macy (Miguel Ferrer, "Traffic"), Hennessy (NBC's "Law & Order") stars as Dr. Cavanaugh, a sexy, smart and fearless Boston medical examiner with a checkered career past. Rounding out the talented team of the Boston M.E.'s office are grief counselor Lily Lebowski (Kathryn Hahn, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"), forensic entomologist "Bug" (Ravi Kapoor, "Gideon's Crossing") and criminalist Nigel Townsend (Steve Valentine, "The Muse"). The coroners rely on Detective Woody Hoyt (Jerry O'Connell, "Kangaroo Jack") to put in the legwork to hunt down the perpetrators of the crimes they investigate.

"Crossing Jordan" is from Tailwind Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Tim Kring (NBC's "Providence") is creator and executive producer; Dennis Hammer and Allan Arkush are executive producers.

"Las Vegas" is a fast-paced, sexy drama follows the elite Las Vegas surveillance team charged with maintaining the security of one of "Sin City's" largest resorts and casinos. Oscar and Golden Globe Award nominee James Caan ("The Godfather," "Misery") stars as Ed Deline, the head of the surveillance team for the Montecito Resort & Casino. With his prot?g? McCoy (Duhamel, "Win a Date With Tad Hamilton"), an ex-U.S. Marine and Las Vegas native, they deal with a variety of security challenges. Molly Sims ("Starsky and Hutch"), Nikki Cox ("Nikki"), James Lesure ("For Your Love"), Marcil ("Beverly Hills, 90210") also starring is new cast member Lara Flynn Boyle, who will portray the casino's new owner next season. In another new addition, Rachael Leigh Cook ("She's All That") also will appear in a recurring role.

Creator Gary Scott Thompson ("The Fast and the Furious") serves as executive producer of "Las Vegas," along with Gardner Stern (NBC's "Law & Order," "NYPD Blue"), Scott Steindorff ("The Human Stain"), Justin Falvey ("Rescue Me") and Darryl Frank ("Rescue Me") for "Las Vegas," from NBC Universal Television Studio and DreamWorks Television.
