Jennifer Beals ('The L Word') Stars in Lifetime Television Movie 'Desolation Sound,' Premiering Monday, June 27 at 9pm
NEW YORK, June 13 -- Jennifer Beals, whose series The L Word
recently completed its second season -- and who's expecting her first child --
stars as a woman shattered by a dark secret in Desolation Sound, which makes
its United States television premiere on Lifetime Television Monday, June 27
at 9PM (ET/PT) as part of the network's New Movie Mondays showcase.
In Desolation Sound, Laura Elliott's (Helene Joy) quiet life in the
wilderness of Desolation Sound is shattered when her old friend, Elizabeth
(Beals), comes to visit. Laura learns that her husband has been having an
affair with Elizabeth, and soon after, Elizabeth is found dead at the wheel of
her car. As they investigate the death, life changes for everyone involved,
including Laura, her husband, her daughter, her friend and the police
detective.
In addition to Beals ("Flashdance") and Joy ("Water Rats"), Desolation
Sound also stars Ed Begley, Jr. ("A Mighty Wind") and Ian Tracey ("Elektra").
