New Edition Features More Twists, Turns and Conflict Than Ever Before As Eighteen Average Joes And Seven Handsome Hunks Compete To Woo Red-Headed Beauty

BURBANK, Calif. -- June 8, 2005 -- "Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back" -- the newest and boldest installment of NBC's popular relationship series about average-looking guys with big hearts and great personalities hoping to win the love of a beautiful woman -- will now premiere Tuesday, June 28 (8-9 p.m. ET) instead of June 21 as previously announced.

Twenty-six year-old Anna Chudoba, who was raised in Las Vegas and now resides in Los Angeles after graduating with a degree in business administration -- is the beautiful bachelorette that the average Joes are hoping to win over with their charm and personalities. But first, they'll have to navigate through an all new series of dramatic twists and turns, outrageous surprises ? and their toughest competition yet ? seven strikingly handsome jocks who are cocky and confident that Anna will only have eyes for them.

The lively six-episode series will also include a romantic getaway to exotic Tahiti, a shocking "hidden camera" surprise, unexpected visitors for both the Joes and Anna, and the return of three of the most popular former "Average Joes" to help coach the new Joes on their quest for love. This edition will also feature a totally new dynamic to help even the score for Joes everywhere: each week, one eliminated Joe will be chosen to get a whole new look and viewers will see what happens when the new Joes come back looking their best.

The three previous installments of "Average Joe" averaged a powerful 5.7 rating among adults 18-49, a 54 percent improvement over NBC's earlier series programming in that time period. "Average Joe" also outscored time-period rival "CSI: Miami" in several key upscale ratings categories, such as adults 18-49 living in homes with incomes of $75,000 or more. The first edition of "Average Joe" finished as the season's #12 series among adults 18-49.

The six-episode series is a production of NBC Universal Television Studio and Krasnow Productions. Stuart Krasnow ("Average Joe 1-4," "Weakest Link") and Andrew Glassman ("Average Joe 1-4," "Three Wishes") are the executive producers.
