BRAVO'S PRIMETIME LINEUP IS TWICE AS QUEER, TWO NIGHTS STRAIGHT BEGINNING IN JANUARY

SEASON THREE PREMIERE OF 'QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY' ON JANUARY 11 AT 10-11 PM ET

SERIES PREMIERE OF 'QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GIRL' ON JANUARY 12 AT 10-11 PM ET

BURBANK -- December 8, 2004 -- Bravo's primetime lineup just got twice as queer starting in January with the season three premiere of the Emmy Award winning and groundbreaking hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" on Tuesday, January 11 at 10-11 p.m. ET, followed the next day with the launch of the highly anticipated series "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl" on Wednesday, January 12 at 10-11 p.m. ET. The announcement was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo.

"Straight women everywhere are about to get their wish," said Lauren Zalaznick, Bravo President. "From the beginning women have been asking when the Fab 5 will offer their services to women. Bravo has granted their wishes with 'Queer Eye for the Straight Girl' and the Gal Pals. We couldn't be more pleased to have two sibling shows that stand on their own unique merits yet, at the core, share the sensibilities that made 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' hugely popular with viewers. Both can boast a big heart, terrific senses of humor and style, and amazing casts."

Similar to "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," each episode of "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl" centers on a life-affirming event and it's up to the Gal Pals to make sure she's fully prepared-on the inside and out. The series has all the humor and sensibility of the original and takes a practical approach in empowering the women with the tools necessary to achieve the look, locale and life -- and sustain it. The "Queer Eye" approach is not about making over; it's about making better.

No mere carbon copy, "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl" is as different from its "older brother" as women are from men. Less interested in the broad strokes and more about the fine-tuning, the straight girls speak up, talk back, and are true participants in their transformations.

The January 11 season premiere of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" finds The Fab 5 -- Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley, and Jai Rodriguez -- planning a stunning wedding for an enlisted serviceman heading out to war. Ray S. is an U.S. Army soldier just two weeks away from his deployment to Iraq. Ray's tour of duty will keep him separated from his wife, Marie and their one-year-old daughter for at least 544 days, and before he leaves he wants to make sure his affairs are in order. In the process, Ray is startled to learn his marriage, which took place in his wife's native Colombia, is not being recognized by the Armed Forces. Now it's a race to the altar and what would have been a simple civil service union becomes a wedding and tearful farewell to remember.

Hold onto your Louis Vuitton! "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is also on the road this season with trips across the pond and across the country. First, The Fab 5 tackle their first-ever international missions with two shows from London and then it's off to the Lone Star state where they meet their biggest challenge yet -- an entire fraternity.

On Wednesdays, starting January 12, Bravo turns a tasteful eye towards the ladies with the premiere of "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl." The all new cast -- The Gal Pals -- will feature Robbie Laughlin, Danny Teeson, Damon Pease, and TV's first female 'Queer Eye' Honey Labrador, who will specialize in The Look, The Life, The Locale, and The Lady, respectively. The Gal Pals prove the whole is greater than the sum of the parts as they work together in unison to help each straight girl achieve her goals.

In the premiere episode of the series, Nicole H. is on the verge of a mid-life crisis at the thought of facing her 30th birthday party. Like Cinderella before her ball, she has suffered the loss of her Father, lived in conditions unbecoming of a princess, and has little hope for a stimulating love life. Determined to release Nicole's confident, sexy side, the Gal Pals turn Nicole into "less Charlotte - and more harlot." Ready and willing, Nicole embraces a confident new self and a grand new beginning. With the aid of her Gal Pals, Nicole realizes that 30 is the new 20 and she is more than deserving of a happy life.

"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "Queer Eye for the Straight Girl" are produced for Bravo by Scout Productions.
