For the 34th consecutive year, �Dick Clark�s New Year�s Rockin� Eve� will lead America into the New Year when Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest host specials starting at 10:00 p.m. (ET & PT) on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31 on the ABC Television Network. In all there will be three-and-a-half hours of special New Year�s Eve programming. This marks Dick Clark�s first television appearance in over a year and Ryan Seacrest�s debut as co-host of the program.
�Dick Clark�s Primetime New Year�s Rockin� Eve 2006� (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) will offer �live� reports on the festivities in Times Square, New York, a look back at the past year and highlights of some of the year�s biggest concert tours, including Duran Duran and Green Day. Additionally, Marysol Castro, �Good Morning America Weekend�s� weather and features correspondent, will report on other happenings in and around New York City.
During �Dick Clark�s New Year�s Rockin� Eve 2006, Part 1� (11:35 p.m. � 1:05 a.m., ET/PT), in addition to reporting on the final minutes of the year 2005 and the traditional Times Square countdown to midnight, Clark and Seacrest will be joined by actress/recording star Hilary Duff, who will preside over segments of the show from Hollywood and introduce top recording artists The Bangles, Chris Brown, Sean Paul, The Pussycat Dolls, Sugarland, 3 Doors Down and 311. Duff will also perform, and Castro will continue to check out other goings on in the Big Apple. Also seen will be coverage of the New Year�s celebrations at other locations around the world.
Wrapping the night�s activities will be �Dick Clark�s New Year�s Rockin� Eve 2006, Part 2� (1:05-2:05 a.m., ET/PT) with all of the musical acts continuing to celebrate with additional performances.
Among this year�s scheduled performances: The Bangles sing two of their biggest hits, �Hazy Shade of Winter� and �Eternal Flame�; Chris Brown offers his latest single, �Yo,� and his current chart-topper, �Run It!�; Sean Paul performs his Top 10 smash, �We Be Burnin,�� his 2003 chart-topper, �Get Busy,� and his newest release, �Temperature�; The Pussycat Dolls sing their breakthrough 2005 hit, �Don�t Cha,� and their current single, �Stickwitu�; Sugarland offer their recent Top 5 hit, �Something More,� and �Down in Mississippi,� a cut from their platinum debut album; 3 Doors Down perform their Top 10 single of earlier this year, �Let Me Go,� and their latest single, �Landing in London�; 311 sing their past Alternative hit, �All Mixed Up,� and their current single, �Speak Easy�; and Hilary Duff offers her new single, �Beat of My Heart,� her hit from earlier this year, �Wake Up,� and her Top 10 single from 2003, �Come Clean.�
